About 30 people gathered in the Well House in the morning to watch the royal wedding on TV, and then stayed on for lunch afterwards. The event was a splendid success, shown in the photos below.

Easter Sunday, April 16th, 2017

The cruise ship Marco Polo sailed from Bristol to the Azores and Madeira before docking in Leixões. This was a Christian Cruise, so about 25 people made their way to St James to join the regular congregation in the Easter Eucharist, then continued to the Well House for refreshments afterwards.

February 26th 2017

Terry Weineck celebrated his 80th birthday on Sunday.  He offered a delicious curry lunch, which he cooked and served with Annie's help.  It was also the last Sunday service at St James for our locum priest Fr. Neil Dawson, who has been with us during February. He conducted a memorable service with a wonderful sermon. His last service will be Ash Wednesday, then he leaves us with our prayers and best wishes.
