Special Services

XmasPosterAdvent and Christmas Services

All are welcome at our special services in the Advent and Christmas

season. Please pass on the information below and encourage family

members and friends to come and join us.

Advent Sunday – December 1, 11:00

This is a special service to mark the beginning of preparations for Christmas.

Our choir will be singing on this day too.

Christmas Carol Service – December 15, 18:00

Our annual Carol Service tells the Christmas story through traditional readings,

the music of congregational carols and choirs, and prayers. It’s a great event to

bring friends along to, and helps to get us into the Christmas spirit. Be sure to

come in good time, as it’s a busy service. Refreshments are served afterwards.

All-Age Christmas Service – December 22, 15:00

New for this year is a short service for all ages, from zero to a hundred plus! It’s

an ideal service to bring all your friends and family members to. There will be

Christmas carols and songs, prayers, and an interactive talk. We’ll also be

giving out parcels of reindeer poo to the children! Spread the word and come

and give it a try. Refreshments are served afterwards.

Christmas Eve – December 24, 23:15

This is the traditional midnight service to welcome in the birth of Jesus Christ,

the Son of God, Saviour of the World. It is timed so that Communion or a

Blessing are received just after midnight. It’s a wonderful atmosphere and a

moving service.

Christmas Day – December 25, 11:00

We gather to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with a service of Holy

Communion, consisting of more carols and a short talk. Children (and adults)

are especially welcome to bring along one of their Christmas presents to show

the congregation!

The Epiphany – January 5, 11:00

The wise men did not visit the baby Jesus at Christmas! It was at the time we

call ‘The Epiphany’. Come along to find out what this is all about and also

celebrate the start of the New Year 2020 with us.
